![Visak Bochea event that I videoed yesterday was in a pagoda located in Siem Reap. Generally, a big commemoration is done at Angkor Wat annually. During this time, many monks and nuns are ordained. However, this year is done at a small-scale because of the new virus (COVID-19) [that] spreads into many countries. Only the monks and nuns living at that pagoda took part in the activities. Visak Bochea is to remember Buddha’s birth, enlightenment, and death. All three life events are celebrated on one day - the full moon (side note: full moon is considered a holy day to repentance, remembrance, and do good deeds).
